I shall investigate getting them removed ... but I can't promise
anything.  I have a lot of projects on my plate right now (both in real
life and here), so time frame is not something I can guarantee.

I would like to point out, however, that a few extra lines of header is FAR
better than having a message in both plain text AND html.  The patch that
leaves the MIME format header also strips out the html.
