1) It should compile.  The way the RPGIV is defined, any basing pointer is
implicitly defined.  I don't happen to like this feature but it is
working-as-designed.

2) I don't see how this could cost you any time.  There is zero impact.
Unless the explicitly defined pointer was supposed to have an INZ value
then there is absolutely no difference.
