Only when a full procedural file is accessed randomly, the compiler demands the file to be keyed (and at runtime you find out the OPNQRYF has to be specified as SEQONLY(*NO) as well). And another lovely bit of information for all those who love or hate the cycle: you can even specify match fields for a primary file without using a secondary file! Joep Beckeringh
