  • Subject: Embedded SQL Error message retrieval
  • From: Andrew.Lutz@xxxxxxxxxx

I am hoping someone can give my some guidance.......

Program environment: RPG/IV using embedded SQL

I have created tables with various constraints (i.e. primary, unique, check)

When I get a constraint error on INSERT for instance it is easy to figure out
that a error has occurred,

BUT I want to retrieve the name of the constraint so I can give a 'user
friendly' message.

Any pointers?

Thanks in advance

Andrew
