ok, thats right, but i use the SQLDA in my sqlrpgle pgm.
....select max(number) from.....
if i use this select with the sqlda i got no result from the fetch-operation
i think the problem is the sqlda ?

agreed as long as you create the table via interactive
SQL => F13 ...
If you do a "create table" you have control if nulls
are allowed or not and then you can avoid them in
the select
