Thats correct, but if you write the result of a sum(xyz)or max(xyz),....  function in a file
the file-field is defined with: nulls allowed

Try it with the interactive sql.

you can replace null values in several ways with
SQL i.e. VALUES or COALESCE function or
with the case expression.
