Well,

It it does use a proxy server, as long as your proxy server is set up
for telnet.

The username/password was given as WYATTERP/WYATTERP.  That's how I
got in too.

Sorry, I didn't understand your question about the firewall.  If you have
a proxy server that you can use, mochasoft will use it.
