I have never had a problem calling RPG from RPG and passing U1-8.

What sort of problem did you have?

Subject: U1-8 Switches: Similar to *LDA ?

Folks:

From the *LDA update problem being discussed here, I have a comparable one using
the Job switches...

I needed to set on U1...U8, depending on data/user selection in an RPG pgm and
call another RPG which will behave depending on how these indicators are set.

(The RPG will open files based on options chosen).

I had to write a small CLP to ensure that the switch setting is done properly
before calling the second RPG.
Any other ways this can be done without a CL call?

TIA,

viji
