There is probably some confusion regarding the word "thread." It is common practise to refer to running more than one job at a time as being "multithreaded." One standard implementation of this is a job queue with MAXACT(2). The modern usage of the word "thread" goes hand in hand with the C spawn() function and Java. Unix people are familiar with the concept <g>. OS/400 and RPG are becoming more threadsafe with each new release. We'll get full Unix thread capability Real Soon Now.
