Hi, Since there some discussion on sockets I'd be interested to know if anyone has used the SSL variety. I have a sufficient grasp on regular sockets and have written a pgm where the AS/400 successfully acts as a client and makes requests to an http server. There is RPG code available that demonstrates the SSL technique but in order for this to work it is necessary to successfully invoke the SSL_Init() API. The parameters for this require that a key ring and password be specified. Since these relate to digital certificates I am at an impass as to how to proceed. Despite having read through the Red Book on the subject, I am none the wiser. Cheers, Peter This communication is confidential and may be legally privileged.
