Gerald - It would probably be best to step to RPGIV first.  Using RPGIV code
enhancements in your programs is a good start.

I know others disagree with this but you can use the IBM command, CVTRPGSRC,
to convert a few of your existing programs to get a feel for what RPGIV
looks like and to get a jump start on your conversion process.  It can help
purge some of the doubt and hesitation that can accompany a change like you
are proposing and speed up the process a bit.
