We do the same thing with telco switches Buck does, plus we do 100,000's of transactions daily with slot systems that have xor'd data. It's not even pretty in RPGIV. xor is a regular op for the lil bitty (pun intended) computers and a real pain and drag on the /400. I made a quick trip through the archives looking for MI builtin references from Barbara (bmorris) and came up empty. If someone can point me to the references or e-mail a code sample I'd be very grateful. I've not yet used MI builtins but the MI route has to be better than the table methods in use here now, and as I say we do 100k's of xor's every day.
