Doug, Scott's question about more than 2 operands provides one reason
why bitwise builtins would be a useful enhancement.

%bitand (x : y : z : w)
or
x andb y andb z andb w

As I recall, using the MI builtins, you would need 3 callps to do
this:

callp  andstr(temp : x : y : len)
callp  andstr(temp : temp : z : len)
callp  andstr(temp : temp : w : len)
