Subject: Fast File CompareI have 2 large files, with about 15 fields in each record. These 2 file have the same fields. I want to test these 2 files a record at a time to verify data integrity.
My question is this, what's the fastest way to compare these files.
I was going to read the (driver file) a record at a time, and chain to the equivalent record in the other file. and compare the records by comparing data structures that include the names of the all the fields in the 2 files.
is there a better/faster way?
Thanks, tim
