The problem is: I have to recompile the applications and I have to change the way that the applications work. That is important in a big migration project. That is the greatest sin you can do in a big migration project - never change anything you don't absolutely have to. Once it works, you can go back and redesign - but make it work first. That is my only objection to adding DB fields. It deals rather nicely with the "member problem". -| -|Richard Jackson -| -| -| -|+--- -|| This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! -|| To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. -|| To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. -|| To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. -|| Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: -|david@midrange.com -|+--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
