If you really have a need to 16-byte align an externally described
data structure, you could always add a program-described subfield
to the end of it.  Adding a pointer subfield to the data structure
in your program will 16-byte align the DS.

Adding program described subfields to externally described DS's is
a carryover from RPG III, but is useful in other ways.  For example,
you could define a program-described subfield overlaying an
externally described field.
