Booth If you don't have Null capable fields you have none of these problems. SQL in RPG is Great. Make no mistake. However like every tool, Nothing is; "Something for every use, every time, every where. John Carr ------------------------------ Well Robert I don't appreciate this thread at all. I'm looking at these messages and all I'm hearing are alarm bells. I'm sensing from this thread that SQL on an AS/400 can give you bad data if you are not fully versed in the rituals of the Knights Of %Null. This is scary. Really scary. There's a lot of SQLRPGLE programs out there with no mention of null indicators. Hopefully I am just stupid yet again. _______________________ Booth Martin +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
