Phil

Try compiling your SQL RPG program with the compile parameter
of DATFMT *ISO instead of DATFMT *JOB and see what happens.

I have a similar problem with date fields. When a
record is inserted (via rpg) the date field has a
default value = 0001-01-01. I have a display file pgm
that uses embedded sql to retrieve the records, and
when it comes to a record with the default value in a
date field, a negative sql code is returned.

Is there anyway to handle this other than to ensure
there is a valid date (ie 1970-01-01) in each record?
