David
Calling CL programs from RPG is quite easy with one exception...
Numeric parameters. Consider moving your fields into a alphanumeric field,
using CHGVAR to format the numeric CL variables. Then use CHGVAR to replace
the original passed alpha variables. Other than that you will have to
define you numerics as 15.5 (15 digits with 5 decimals) and then pass them.

I have a CL program that does some field validity checking. I want to call
it from an RPG program. I'd like to pass parameters from RPG to the CL,
have the CL update the parms, pass them back to RPG, then have the RPG
program use those values.

I'm having trouble. It appears that the CL program is either doing
nothing,
or the RPG program isn't actually calling it.

I'm a little rusty on my RPG. STRDBG and ADDBKP don't seem to be working
properly, either. STRDBG seems to work, and ADDBKP seems to work, but I'm
not hitting any breaks and I KNOW I'm cruising through that part of the
code. I haven't used these things since v3r1.

Maybe I'm just tired....

Is it possible to call CL from RPG or not?

Any ideas?

Thanks.
