I've checked on this in the past 'cause I also wanted to avoid hard-coding
that value and found that there is an API way to retrieve the subfile page
size, but it gets kinda messy.

(I'm referencing V4R4 manuals)

In the System API Reference, page's 34-117 - 34-181 details the Retrieve
Display File Description API in the Work Management chapter.  This includes
a complete description of all the various control/record formats that are
returned.

The actual SFLSIZ/SFLPAG values are mentioned on page 34-130 as part of the
Subfile Control Entry(s) which are embedded in the Subfile Control Record,
page 34-129.

I've researched it this far, but haven't had time to take it any further to
actually code a routine to retrieve the info on the fly.  Someday I will.
