There are all kinds of ways to do this, and it depends on the particular case. In general, I can think of three ways to approach it. 1. Sort the subfile in place using the sort algorithm of your choice and re put it to the screen. 2. Shadow the subfile in the data structure of your choice--array, user space, linked list...Sort the data structure and rebuild the subfile. 3.
