I utilize an SQL Cursor and prepared statement for this purpose but I seem to remember an article in Midrange computing a while back where they were talking about user indexes. I've never used them however they sound interesting. -----Original Message----- From: Timura, Patrik (CAP, GCF) [SMTP:Patrik.Timura@gecapital.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2000 8:00 AM To: 'RPG400-L@midrange.com' Subject: Sort records in subfile Hi all :-) How are you doing today ? I have a question - is any possibility to sort records in the subfile ? I am trying to give to user chance, when listing in a subfile, to see the records sorted ... any suggestions ? Thank you and wish a nice day :-) +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
