This is a cool idea but it has problems if:
a) The spooled file is AFPDS
b) The spooled file has "Page xxx" in it 
c) The spooled file has headings or footers

If you add or remove lines from the PF copy of the spooled file, you will
disturb the page count/overflow.  I've used this technique to add "Page xxx
of yyy" functionality.
