I was expecting a response like this, once I mentioned exit points.
We are not using exit points to get us through the "normal parts of a
software install process".
One example of our uses is to immediately update cross reference products
like Abstract Probe with the latest object information.
I believe Implementer has the ability to directly interface with some of
these products. However I don't think Probe is one of them.

We are finding that having exit points is a two-way street.  It's really
nice to have them available, but it's unfortunate that we have to use so
many to do things that one might think of as rather normal parts of a
software install process.
