I knew some would. We're all entitled to our opinions.

Like I said in my original mail, communication is the key. To me, a CMS is
a crutch for people that can't communicate (my opinion, to me. etc.. etc..).
Our staff had our own system with three libraries. Devo, Test, and Prod.
We didn't have problems with it, but management thought it best that we get
a CMS.

The ONLY thing that it is nice for is distribution to our plants. But even
then we had to write exit programs to do what we wanted it to do, so it
really didn't do much in the end. And with RSF, distribution without a CMS
was easy in the first place.

There's a lot more to it for the reasons I don't like our CMS, but it's a
long story... Let's just say I don't think paying a bundle of cash for
the product and support is worth it when a CMS can be written (very easily)
in about 2 months by a couple of average programmers.
