You may want to look into POSDBF command to position to a specific key value
then RCVF.

OOPPPSS...  sorry...I read your email wrong. mea culpa.  You want to do a
index read (IE, chain) to a file from CL...

The example I tended to lead you to was a sequential read...

Can't say I've done a keyed lookup of a file in CL in the last 40+ years,
nor seen one...but there's alot more experience out there than I...:)

OPNQRYF then read....
