I really appreciate you all taking the time out to answer my broad question.  
I've only been programming on the 400 for 16 months (not counting a couple of 
years of school to get 2 Associates degrees).  I have a couple of years of 
MicroFocus COBOL on the PC as well.  About half of my experience on the 400 
was doing a COBOL assignment, which I just came off of.  The other half was 
doing JD Edwards and BPCS.

I just haven't ran across any RPGII code before.  This new client just 
installed V4R2, so I don't really think I'll have any problems with the code. 
 (The real problem is this Java I'm trying to pick up on.  I believe I have 
already bought 12 Java books)  

Again, thank you all for your expertise.  I really value the information I 
get from this list.
