I hadn't tried it in a while, so I just gave it another look. You call that easy? Furthermore, although deja.com does a decent job of indexing usenet, does it index web pages? These days, the preferred ways to search for stuff on the web is either google or FAST, both of which are quite good, fast, and uncluttered. The algorithm used by google favors web pages that are linked to by more pages elsewhere, which is another good reason for adding links to other related web pages. > >Heck I use it, so it would do others good to learn how to use a search tool. >If I am the middleman for all these others, maybe I should start charging >for my consulting, which I don't. Which is another good reason to improve your web page with useful links to other related pages. Provide good links to alternate sources of information, and perhaps people won't bother you with questions. And then maybe you'll have more time with your wife. Here's another way to help people learn how to search for stuff on the web: Whenever someone asks an easy question here, don't just give the answer. Rather, tell them how to find the answer. Often, a quick google search can yield an answer faster than asking it on this mailing list. Cheers!
