For me, the normal would be -8. However, it depends on the result that you desire. If you are rounding or otherwise wanting the nearest whole number then -8 would be normal. The funny thing about Excel is that int(8.9)= 8. This is because the Excel function rounds down. Now, if wanting to rounding or otherwise wanting to drop all decimals and get just the interger value, then -9 would be normal. I hope this helps.
