As a starter just think that refrential contraints are like establishing 
relationship between fields / key fields between files. which key should 
match to one another between files and how are the records in these files 
controlled by the relationship of these fields.

I need to learn what and how to do 'Referential Constraints'.
I will check the DataBase Guide.
