Kevin, I'd like to add a comment. If you change your SFLSIZ(016) to a P
field and fill the field with the value of the size of the subfile, then
the scroll bar's shaft will approximate the relation of the SFLPAG to the
entire size of the subfile. In your example I suspect the shaft is
15/16ths of the size of the scroll bar, which may not reflect the size of
the subfile. Users pick up on that visual signal quickly, and it helps
them position the subfile quickly.

Barb,

This is a snip from a subfile I use that has scroll bars:

 A R SFL004C1 SFLCTL(SFL004S1)
 A SFLSIZ(0016)
 A SFLPAG(0015)
 A OVERLAY
 A 20 SFLDSP
 A 20 SFLEND(*SCRBAR *PLUS)
 A SFLDSPCTL
 A 21 SFLCLR

It looks like you have to set a *SCRBAR attribute for the SFLEND keyword.
Hope
this helps.

Kevin

I'm trying to use a scrollbar in a display but can't find much on the
RPG or CL needed to control it. I have defined the display but I am not
sure how to code the RPG because the program will be used on terminals
as well as PC's. Does anyone have any examples?

Thanx
