I don't recommend the skeleton. I recommend an external data structure. This makes it easier to use the RENAME keyword if you want multiple INFDS. In RPG Classic you have to make sure the file is not blocked for input to get a correct RRN. I'm pretty sure that this is not true in RPGIV. INFDS is real RPG arcana. It is documented. I keep a print out from the manual on my desk along with the print out of edit codes.
