Leaving the record address type blank (no "K") guarantees arrival sequence file access. In RPG Classic you have to make sure the file is not blocked for input to get a correct RRN. I'm pretty sure that this is not true in RPGIV. INFDS is real RPG arcana. It is documented. I keep a print out from the manual on my desk along with the print out of edit codes. A better organized person than I would have a complete INFDS in his/her standard program skeleton. > -----Original Message----- > From: Jim Langston [mailto:jlangston@conexfreight.com] > Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2000 3:40 PM > To: RPG400-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Record Number > > > I purposely did not put in the 'K' in the F-Specs thinking that > this would process them in record number sequence.
