If you use binder source and add the new procedures to the bottom of the
binder source listing in the current section, making a previous section like
it was before.  Then existing programs will still work fine with the new
version of the service program.  We add new procedures to our service
programs all the time and don't have to touch existing programs unless we
want them to use the new procedures.  The ILE Concepts manual describes this
fairly well.
