This answer depends on what release you want this code to run on. It ain't gonna run on V3R2. I'm sure that RPG IV was understood by everyone as the language of choice - which version though? The next release of the compiler promises to have many significant changes. Would we develop towards that or settle on an older version. The error handling with the new MONITOR constructs will offer a lot. If free form C-specs is part of the release, is that where we want to go?
