I think what irritates me most though is that we can not use the new solution to move an 8-digit date to a 6-digit date outside the 40-39 window. Users understand birthdays. If they see a birthday of 3/31/22 on their screen they know it isn't 2022. I have to go back and check stuff but for the moment it looks to me like I will be moving the 8-digit date to a 6-digit date first. What I am after is the 8-character field with "/"s in place, or if the date is blank, no "/"s. _______________________ Booth Martin boothm@earth.goddard.edu http://www.spy.net/~booth _______________________ "James W. Right now they are turning 60 and still have some time to go before retirement. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
