> c Eval NonFloatVal = atof(CharValue) When assigning floating-point values to non-float values, it's almost always best to use half-adjust. This will handle cases where the actual answer is say 2, but the floating point value is 1.9999999999999999999. Not using half-adjust would give 1 or 1.9999 or whatever. Code it using something like one of these: c Eval(h) NonFloatVal = atof(CharValue) c Eval NonFloatVal = %inth(atof(CharValue)) c Eval NonFloatVal = %dech(atof(CharValue) : 7 : 3) Barbara Morris +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
