Does anyone know of a way to get the relative record number of a physical file, to be stored in a hidden field within a subfile as the subfile is filled? I am doing a maintenance program on a file without a key. The file is filled daily and after processing the records are deleted and the file reorged. The RPG program assumes the record numbers will be the same as the subfile record number. If I allow the user to delete single records this logic doesn't work. Currently the user can change each record and also delete all records. I would like to add an option to allow a delete of several records. Thanx in advance!!
