Try WRKLNK to see if it exist. Is that what you mean by a valid name? If
it does not exist, create it.

Subject: Checking path name for validity

Folks:

Does anyone know of a routine or api that will check to see if a IFS object
would be valid name?

Currently, we're just trying to create the directory ... but that won't work
for a multi-level directory.

Thanks!

david
