RE: Humorous Enhancements. I ain't amused.

Anyone can write bad code at any time in any language.  The bad rap for
"legacy" code probably comes from ancient goto laden monstrously long
programs that seem to work properly.  They're the ones no one seriously
thinks of replacing unless forced to because no one understands how they
work.  People just swear at them when they have to modify them.  In some
shops they're the only older code left.

'Course "legacy" is a great marketing term when you're pushing the latest
and greatest stuff that fills no known need.
