The short answer is yes.  The lenght of the field is the actuall lenght of data
ABCD = 4 , A B C D = 7.  I have found this very useful in dealing with
addresses, names and other strings.

This is an interesting solution. I have not used variable
length fields yet. If FLD1 is 'ABCD      ', would Length
in the following statement equal 4?

   C         Eval         Fld1A = %Trim(Fld1)
   C         Eval         Length = %Len(Fld1A)
