So I take it that what you are saying here is that Rochester wants to take a product differentiator away and move us all to the same stuff that all the other companies are using for software. Then, IBM will be able to compete head to head at the hardware level only. Now there's a brain-dead marketing move. Does Rochester really think IBM can compete at the hardware level only? Do they really think they are that much smarter than the people in the PC divisions of IBM?
