Actually, you can write IFS stream file code using RPG IV.  Use the C
functions fstat(), open(), read() and close().  You need use BNDDIR(QC2LE)
to link them into your RPG but it works great.  Of course, there's nothing
wrong with doing the I/O in a C module and linking THAT to your RPG... ILE
lets us use the best language for the task at hand!
