There are no specific PTFs needed for this functionality.  The capability
to access C type APIs came along with procedures in V3R2 and V3R6.  V3R7
opened up a few more APIs (mostly the math library) because it added
floating point to the RPG language.

Some of the folks in Rochester are trying to get RPG examples coded for
these types of functions, I've given them a bunch of mine as examples, but
it will take time.  They were hoping to put some sockets stuff into the
V4R4 pubs, don't know if it made it.  When you consider that A) They have
no RPG programmers to speak of (strange as that may sound) and B) there are
hundreds (thousands) of APIs to document, then it is hardly surprising that
you haven't seen many examples yet.

Perhaps David could give us an area on the web site where they could be
collected ?
