Look at the Convert Date and Time Format (QWCCVTDT) API in the OS/400
miscellaneous APIs book. It's very easy to convert to a number of useful
formats.

Subject: Conversion of Date/Time stamp Format (*DTS) from system messages

Can anyone tell me how to easily convert the 8-byte Date/Time stamp data
format (*DTS) from a system message's field data values into a usable form
for ILE RPG. Or at least tell me the format of the binary code used so that
it can be bit-twiddled.

I am currently having to send it out to a CL to RTVMSG and return the text
equivalent which I can then process in RPG, but this seems very long winded
and is certainly inefficient.

Any Ideas?
