I did that. DFRWRT didn't seemed to change anything. When I read the
description of the WAITRCD parameter it really seemed that this is what
I've been looking for... But it still didn't change anything. BTW

Changing EXFMT to a READ and a WRITE didn't seem to change anything.
I am compiling the CLOCKDSPF with WAITRCD(*IMMED). And I would really
appreciate any suggestions.
