We have Comcast Business internet. In addition to our wifi SSIDs, there is
"xfinitywifi" with a signal that is as strong or stronger than our own
SSIDs.

Suspecting it might be our very own cable modem, I looked at it. The wifi
lights are off, leading me to believe the wifi is not on. But I decided to
access it's web page and see.

The sticker says it's 10.1.10.1, but I cannot get to the web page. I've
tried preceding it with http:// and https://. No joy. It says "10.1.10.1 took
too long to respond." But I can ping 10.1.10.1 and get a response.

The cable modem does not do DHCP or DNS. Does this mean it's in "bridge
mode"? Is this why I cannot reach that web page?

This is well out of my comfort zone.

Thanks.
