You might also want to make sure the printer has Win7 drivers before trying
the parallel-USB adapter. Some peripheral manufacturers used the change in
driver models that occurred when Vista came out (further refined by Win7 &
8) as an opportunity to end support for older models (in an attempt to spur
new sales).
