general is that the smart phone market exploded and they can't keep up with
expansion to make sure all of those smart phones continue to work. The
iPhone was what triggered the explosion. Heck, it takes AT&T 4 years to
build a tower in San Fransisco! Most of that is dealing with the local
governments.

While I still find it ridiculous, this may be the only way to allow better
service.

Now as a consumer, this is what I want. A package of unlimited phone,
unlimited texts, and unlimited internet for around $60 dollars a month. Add
additional phones with the same features for maybe $10 more each. I am sure
when my kids get older, I'll be forking over around $200/month or more to
the cell phone company at the rate things are going. I don't want that.
