Mostly it's orphaned items that sometimes interfere with a new installation. Such as file associations etc.

Also the system start up starts to take forever because everything starts as a service as opposed to giving me the option to take longer to open the first time (open office and M$ Office are bad in that regard)

I am reviewing CCCleaner now based on John Jones recommendation. No opinion just yet.
